Ability to specify own SMTP Servers

While we can configure SPF this can cause problems when you hit max SPF lookups (which is easy to do when using lots of third party systems).

In addition it still means we authorise Foxycart to send any email on our behalf.

Preferred would be the ability to specify our own SMTP servers for outgoing email. We then have full control over SPF, DKIM and DMARC settings.

This is planned. DMARC becoming more widely used is certainly problematic for many users. We don’t have a timeframe on it, but it’s definitely being discussed internally, and we’ve got an Enterprise Plan user who needs it as well.

UPDATE 2017-05-09: We have this in QA, and are working to improve our handling of situations where the SMTP connection fails.

SMTP would be universal but have you considered also integration with third party system API's such as MailGun, Mandrill, SendGrid etc or to reduce your burden something like Zapier that will then allow for mail to be sent via one of these?
