EDIT 2016-11-09: Square now allows more normal payment gateway interactions. We’re talking with them about possibilities.
SquareUp.com currently only accepts swiped transactions (ie. “card present”), and does not have an option for accepting payments online. If this changes, we will absolutely look at integrating, but until then … there’s not actually anything for us to do on this request.
If you are aware of something we aren’t, please let us know :)
Thanks, @Robert. Square does things a little differently than a "normal" gateway, which is making this particular integration more difficult than it'd otherwise be. But it's absolutely on our radar, and we're planning on it.
@Alexandra, please let us know how this goes. We'll put it on our wiki and point others to it if you'd like. I take it you're using the custom endpoint functionality? https://wiki.foxycart.com/v/2.0/shipping#custom_shipping_endpoint
@Alex_Connell, are there particular payment methods supported by G2A you'd like to see us add? We already support PayPal and others that G2A supports. Just trying to understand the specific benefits G2A would offer you as a merchant.
No word so far, except that we're working on some improvements to our gateway integrations and we likely won't be adding new gateways until that's done. (We can rush development for our Advanced Plan stores, but we understand that isn't an option for everybody.)
Update: We currently have the foundation of the new shipping system built, as well as a very cool UI for it, which allows custom rule building. We are continuing to work on this, and will update as we have details. (We can’t get more specific on a release date, but we’re working hard. Trust us: Shipping is a large support burden for us, and we know it’s can be a significant issue for you. We’re excited about this new system though.)
In the meantime, there’s a LOT you can do currently: http://wiki.foxycart.com/snippets/start
If you need help with any of those shipping customizations just let us know in the forum.
@anonymous and others: No need to check for duplicate suggestions or requests. It's worth it for us to know how many people need which types of features, so please feel free to add your own comments even if they've already been laid out by others.
@SteveDobkins: We've got both those covered already. Thanks for commenting though. Good to know we're on the right track.
@Neil: We'll respond by email, but short answer: We're looking at later 2014 or into 2015, probably. We know this is a giant need for FoxyCart users, and we're working towards it.
In the meantime, a _lot_ can be accomplished via some of the hacks, and we're happy to help you get things customized just right for you. Email us at email@example.com and one of our team (most likely Adam) will help you get what you need.
@Denny Smith: Yes. Without going into too much detail, we believe that our new shipping system will be able to handle that (and more).
@Dean Heckler: Entering UPS account numbers is currently possible (as of v051). FedEx is coming soon, but UPS and USPS is done already. Just FYI.
Update 2013-09: This is definitely on our radar. Thanks for voicing your support for this feature.
@IanWild: Fwiw, I think anything you'd need to do with this is already possible through the API, unless you've got a use case we aren't thinking of. Let us know (though it'd probably be better to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org instead of here for specifics).
@Rob, I'm not aware of any social sign-on functionality for FoxyCart, though it is on our roadmap. If there was, we'd definitely want to share the code.
Sorry, no update, but this is definitely still on our radar. It's also very possible to create this depending on your CMS, though it'd obviously require a little know-how. Some of our integrations also have this built in (if you're using Wordpress, for example).
Sorry we don't have it yet, but we've been doing a lot of foundational stuff lately to pave the way for a lot of new functionality in the coming versions.
@Michael Blossom, that's a really interesting idea. Thanks for letting us know about that use case.
Fwiw, you could probably use http://wiki.foxycart.com/integration/foxycart/saved_cart in the meantime. Tie that functionality to a "Try it on in store!" button and hopefully it'll get you what you want. Post in the forums if you have any problems.
UPDATE 2013-05-21: Google Checkout is being phased out, so we’ll be waiting to see what developers and what’ll make the most sense. We’re big Google fans, and will definitely be looking to support whatever ends up being the best option.
@Shihan Qu, can you link to the thread you're referencing? It looks like, at best, Google Checkout will transition to Google Wallet for sellers with strictly digital goods, but we're still researching things.
@Ben, we hear you. We're hard at work on a completely new shipping system for FoxyCart, after which point it should be much easier for us to add new carriers. We have a lot of Australian users, and this is a biggie, we know.

EDIT/UPDATE: We’ll leave this request open, but in the meantime there are few ways to make this happen. But if you have specific use cases please comment so we can get a better idea of how we can best serve you :)
UPDATE 2012-08-29: Our v1.0 adds support for address-based taxes from TaxDataSystems.com. It’s not necessarily the ability to query external tax systems directly, but we think it’ll address the vast majority of situations that prompted votes for this issue. Please let us know if you have any questions about this integration. http://www.foxycart.com/features/feature/localization/taxes
Dylan, thanks :)
Mike, we're currently using a version of their database that does one tax rate per zip, so in situations where one zip code is split across two counties it gives the rate of the more populated of the counties within the zip. In a future FoxyCart version we'll be adding UI to prompt the customer to refine their address when we detect more than one possible tax rate within the entered zip code. No promises on when, but it probably won't be too many versions out, and in the meantime we hope this will get _way_ closer to perfect the vast, vast majority of the time.

Update 2014-02-25: We will take a look at adding Payfast, but our current priorities lie elsewhere. That said, this is increasing in the queue due to the votes, but please make sure you register so we can notify you by email when we have updates.
We haven't forgotten about this. No real updates other than to say we know it's a very, very important feature for those that need it, and we have it on the roadmap (if a ways out).

2011-09-08 Update: We do plan to add full CardinalCommerce support, but we don’t have an estimated release date, so it’s pretty far on the horizon at this point. That said, if you have specific features of CardinalCommerce you’d like to see (like 3d secure, bill me later, etc.) please note that in the comments. Thanks!
Thanks for the link. Hadn't seen that. Many of these scripts don't play well on https, but we'll take a look and see about using this once we have time to attack it. We definitely don't want to reinvent the wheel.
